Connecting with Our Military Community: CyRoot Academy at Salute to Service 2026
At CyRoot Academy, our mission isn't just lived in the classroom — it's lived in the community. On May 2, 2026, we had the privilege of bringing that mission directly to the people we serve, participating as an education partner at the annual Salute to Service: A Military Fair for Heroes, hosted by the Centennial Hills Library in Las Vegas.
Meeting Families Where They Are
Events like Salute to Service give us something invaluable: the opportunity for real, face-to-face conversations with active-duty military, veterans, and their families at a moment when they're thinking about their community and their future. At our exhibitor table, we connected with attendees to share how CyRoot Academy can help veterans and military spouses build meaningful, in-demand technology careers — from IT support and cybersecurity to network engineering, data analytics, and project management.
These conversations matter deeply to us. Many military families don't realize that a path into the technology sector is within reach, or that scholarship opportunities exist specifically to help them get there. Being on the ground at events like this lets us answer questions directly, share our story, and remind people that CyRoot Academy was built with their community in mind.
What We Shared
At our table, visitors learned about CyRoot Academy's career-focused technology training programs, including industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, and more. We also spoke with attendees about the scholarship opportunities available to veterans, active-duty military, military spouses, and others from underserved communities who are ready to take the next step in their careers.
For many of the families we spoke with, it was the first time they'd heard about CyRoot Academy — and that's exactly why we show up.
A Heartfelt Thank-You to Centennial Hills Library
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Centennial Hills Library and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District for organizing such a well-executed, meaningful event and for welcoming CyRoot Academy as an education partner. The library's commitment to serving the whole community — including those who have served our country — aligns closely with our own values, and the care they put into this event was evident in every detail. We are proud to stand alongside partners who share our belief that community support and education go hand in hand.
